Skistar faced significant technical challenges with an outdated e-commerce platform based on an Episerver CMS and custom-built systems. The platform had low performance, was difficult to develop, and relied on legacy systems that hindered innovation and time-to-market. The client’s SEO performance and conversion rate also needed improvement to meet modern e-commerce demands.

The goal was to achieve a modern, flexible, and scalable e-commerce platform that could:

  • Improve the user experience.
  • Reduce dependencies on legacy systems.
  • Enable faster time-to-market and easier development of new features.
  • Optimize SEO to drive organic growth.
  • Increase sales and streamline processes for bundled offers and discounts.

Omniarch’s collaboration with Skistar began in 2022 and has been long-term and strategic. We have:
Conducted a pre-study and requirements specification. Negotiated with vendors and led the entire platform project. Implemented a composable commerce solution using systems like Brink Commerce, Storyblok, and Voyado Elevate. Integrated with Skistar’s existing systems for membership logic and bonus management. Ensured the launch of the new platform in time for the critical November sales period in 2024.

Skistar has already seen measurable improvements, including:
Increased SEO efficiency: +30% sales from organic search in just one month despite a domain change.
Improved user experience: The platform is now faster, more flexible, and easier to manage.

Goals and Results

Initial goals:
Increase sales from organic search by 6%.
Launch a new platform before peak season in November.
